This book is the result of a lifelong interest in the
sword. Since childhood I have doodled and drawn
this noble weapon, my mind aswirl with images
of blades and hilts of every shape and size. I was
smitten with the symbolic power of the sword
and fascinated with its history as a formidable
tool ofwar.
Here, as an adult, I have endeavored to create an
entire book devoted to the sword- but I would
have it known that my qualifications are modest.
I am above all an enthusiast.
In the following pages, you will find my illustrated
musings about my favorite weapon, sketched over
several years. The book covers a broad expanse of
both history and geography, serving as a repository
of memory, inspiration, and imagination
I hope you enjoy it!
